We are looking for a Project Manager to lead multidisciplinary R&D projects combining scientific, computational, and experimental activities in multiple life science fields – genomics, microbiology & chemistry. The project manager will lead customer-oriented R&D projects as well as internal R&D projects.
Our offices are located in Rehovot.
The position requires:
- Tight work with customers and internal multidisciplinary teams to structure workplans, including objectives, deliverables, timelines, and budget.
- Managing, monitoring, and coordinating the progress of project activities, ensuring execution according to workplan, objectives, and budget.
- Identifying critical path activities and bottlenecks.
- Managing communication and interfaces with customers and multiple internal teams.
- Reporting project status to relevant stakeholders, including management and customers.
All you need is:
- Experience of at least 3 years in project management in the life science or computational biology industries – must.
- Relevant scientific or computational education – BSc/MSc in Biology or other life sciences (including bioinformatics) – must.
- Extensive experience and comfort with Gantt charts, project management software, Excel, Jira, etc.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills; detail oriented.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, both in Hebrew and English.

We are looking for an Admin & Travel Assistant to join our team.
The position is held from the front desk and includes providing high-level administrative support and coordinating all travel arrangements.
- Serve as a focal point for all employees for administration tasks.
- Ordering office supplies and managing the office budget.
- Working closely with the finance department.
- Assist the HR department.
- Support employee special events and order needed items per event– birthdays, sick leave, etc.
- Manage the company’s travel arrangements (flights, visits, etc.)
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to work full-time position and willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
- At least 3 years of proven work experience as an office Manager or a similar operations role at a tech/biotech company.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Comfortable managing a high volume of travel requests as well as constantly advising the travel to function itself.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (Hebrew & English).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to work independently.
Evogene is looking for a Product Manager with a strong microbiology background to join the MicroBoost AI multidisciplinary product team. The candidate will lead the development of an innovative computational tool platform specifically aimed to support microbial products development for the Ag, Pharma, and Environmental industries.
As a microbiologist product manager, you will be responsible for leveraging computational techniques and bioinformatics tools to analyze complex biological data related to microorganisms. Your primary focus will be on understanding microbial diversity, evolution, genomics, and functional genomics. You will collaborate with microbiologists, geneticists, bioinformaticians, and end user scientists to interpret biological data and contribute to research projects aimed at advancing development of microbial products.
Additionally, you will be expected to stay abreast of developments in the fields of microbiology, computational biology, and bioinformatics, and apply emerging technologies and methodologies to product research and development.
Main responsibilities:
- Analyze genomic, transcriptomic, metagenomic, and other -omics data to study microbial communities and their interactions.
- Apply computational methods for microbial genome assembly, annotation, and comparative genomics.
- Collaborate with experimental biologists to design experiments and interpret experimental results using computational approaches.
- Contribute to the development of software tools and pipelines for processing and analyzing biological data.
- Stay informed about the latest advancements in computational biology, bioinformatics, and microbiology research.
- Work collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams to address complex scientific questions and achieve project goals.
Qualifications:
- A Ph.D. or equivalent degree in microbiology, bioinformatics, computational biology, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in analyzing large biological datasets.
- Familiarity with bioinformatics tools and databases commonly used in microbiology research (e.g., NCBI, BLAST, NGS for metagenomic analyses etc.).
- Experience with genomic analysis tools and techniques (e.g., genome assembly, gene prediction, comparative genomics, etc.).
- Knowledge of statistical methods and machine learning techniques applied to biological data analysis.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex scientific concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, interdisciplinary research environment.
- Proven industrial experience in managing computational microbial product development is an advantage.
