Rehovot, Israel (January 10th, 2012) – Evogene (TASE:EVGN) announced today the appointment of 20 new employees in the scientific teams. This Human Resource expansion in the R&D was carried out in Evogene’s core scientific areas: Computational Genomics, Development of New Core Technologies, Trait Improvement and Experimental Genomics. 14 of the new team members hold PhD degrees.

This growth in Human Resource is expected to enable us to pursue our activities under the collaborations with world leading seed companies that the company has committed to, which significantly increased in the second half of 2011, the further development of new computational technologies with an emphasis on Gene2ProductTM and EvoBreedTM and the preparation for entries into new business fields, such as Ag-chemicals.”
